Click Item. A selection of Collections will appear. Only Collections that you are authorized to make a deposit in will be displayed.
Select the Collection you want deposit in.
Upload the file you want to deposit. If you wish to place your deposit under embargo, this would be the point when you would set the embargo conditions. However, embargo support has not yet been implemented but it is in development.
Enter the names of the author(s). If the author(s) have ORCID IDs, this would be the point when you would add these. However, ORCID support has not yet been implemented but it is in development.
Enter your work's preexisting DOI by selecting DOI under the Identifiers dropdown box. While associating a DOI with your deposit is optional, we strongly recommend that you do so. If your work does nothave an existing DOI, get a DOI for your work using Zenodo before proceeding.
The field Subject Keywords is a controlled vocabulary, meaning that it uses a particular hierarchical system that appears to be based on the Swedish Research Subject Categories. This means that not all terms will be accepted in this field. Learn more about what terms you are allowed input in the Subject Keywords field. You can include other keywords in the Description field (discussed below).
Under Sponsors, enter details as required by funding agencies and other institutions who supported this work.
Under Description, enter any other details related to your deposit. If your deposit is a duplicate or a version of an existing publication, we suggest any or all of the following:
Unconstrained keywords and key phrases: Enter your own set of keywords and key phrases here. We suggest using ones that are not already present in the title, the abstract, the subject keywords, or other text already associated with your entry.
Version details: Indicate whether this deposit is a particular version (e.g., pre-print, post-print, or published version) of an existing work. Note that most publishers will not allow you to archive the published version in an institutional repository, but may allow you to archive the pre-print and/or post-print versions. Please check with your publisher.
Copyright/permission statements: Provide details of any permissions you have secured to upload the work to the UPOU Repository. (See below for an example, taken from an entry from another repository, for how to do this.)
Statement of institutional research ethics review: If your publication is part of a project that had underwent institutional research ethics review, you can include a statement that the study obtained ethics approval, including the name of the ethics committee(s) or institutional review board(s), the number/ID of the approval(s), and a statement that participants gave informed consent before taking part. If no institutional research ethics review was conducted, you can optionally provide a statement that it was not required and why. (Adapted from British Medical Journal guidelines.)
